Gran Turismo 5 is the fifth edition of the Gran Turismo racing simulator series. Developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, it was released for PlayStation 3 on November 24, 2010. Soulcalibur IV (ソウルキャリバーIV, Sourukyaribā Fō?) is the sixth installment in Namco’s Soul series of fighting games, due for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in summer 2008. For the first time in the series history, the game will have competitive online play. This will be the second game in the series to not have an arcade release before the console release.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue) is the latest installment in the Gran Turismo series and a PlayStation 3 exclusive title which was announced at the E3 2007.

The game was released in Japan on both the PlayStation Store and Blu-ray Disc on December 13, 2007 to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary. The PlayStation Store version requires just over 2.2 gigabytes of available hard disk space. The Blu-ray version may cut down on this. The Blu-ray version costs ¥4,980 (inc. tax) and the PS Store version costs ¥4,500 (inc. tax). The game will be released in North America on Blu-ray disc and via download from the Playstation Store on April 17, 2008. The Blu-Ray Disc version will offer added value with an exclusive High-Definition video feature called ‘Beyond the Apex’ and various other content such as new cars and tracks. The game will be released on March 28, 2008 in Europe via the PlayStation Store and on Blu-Ray Disc. Extra content (similar to North America’s extra content) will be included in the game.

Heavenly Sword (to be released) is a video game in development by Ninja Theory for the PlayStation 3 console. Is expected during the first quarter of 2007. It is a martial arts action-drama game with a free-style combat system.

On another note, this game was nicknamed “Goddess of War” by various game critics at E3 due to its similarities to the game “God of War“.

Devil May Cry 4 has quickly become one of the most anticipated titles for the PlayStation 3. After recovering from the revelation that a new character named Nero is replacing fan-favorite hero Dante in the starring role, gamers began speculating about what other new directions the beloved action series may take. Unfortunately, those answers aren’t coming quite yet. But from what we’ve seen of the game thus far, it is clear that “Devil May Cry 4″ will carry on the traditions of it predecessors.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is officially titled Guns of the Patriots. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (commonly abbreviated to MGS4) is a stealth-based game directed by Hideo Kojima and Shuyo Murata. Guns of the Patriots is currently being developed by Kojima Productions for the PlayStation 3 video game console. The game uses the motto “no place to hide” with the theme of “senses”.

At E3 in 2006, Sony rolled with a lengthy series of brief game trailers demonstrating some of the titles currently in development for the system. One of the more highly anticipated of these was Tekken 6, first revealed for the PlayStation 3 at Sony’s press conference a year ago. The game was shown very briefly in the form of a trailer during the press conference, which was cut from a longer version shown by Namco Bandai.

Gran Turismo HD

Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi spoke about the next Gran Turismo title in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu. There were two points of interest in the article. First, the parenthetical “working title” has been dropped from the name, implying that Gran Turismo HD is indeed the final title. Second, while Yamauchi lavished praise on the game’s high-definition graphics, he stated that the game was not the true next-gen heir to the popular racing series’ crown.
